A ballroom ceiling feature designed to hold up on broadcast camera and in the room at the same time.

A summit ballroom is lit twice: once for the several hundred people in the room, and once for the cameras carrying it to everybody else. Cameras want flat, high, colour-accurate light. The room wants depth and a ceiling worth looking at.
The ceiling feature carries the architecture while the working light sits separately, so broadcast levels could be raised and dropped without the room losing its character.
Scenes were built and rehearsed against the run of show rather than left to be improvised on the day, which is the only way a live event scheme survives contact with a real schedule.
