DJ has led lighting design on institutional projects for over twenty-five years — teaching campuses for ITE, NUS and Temasek Polytechnic, healthcare for NUH and two medical centres in Brunei, and premium aviation interiors for Singapore Airlines at Changi Terminal 3.

The through-line is buildings that operate around the clock and are used by people who did not choose to be there. A patient, a student in an exam hall, a passenger on a fourteen-hour connection — none of them are thinking about lighting, and all of them are affected by it.

Light Logic now applies the same discipline to residential work, which is the part of the market least likely to have ever seen it.

We work to the ERCO methodology: define what each surface and task needs in measurable terms — illuminance, uniformity, colour rendering, glare rating — and only then choose equipment that delivers it.

That order matters. Picking fittings first and calculating afterwards is how a room ends up with twelve downlights, a glare problem and no light where anyone actually sits.

It also makes us fixture-agnostic. We hold photometric data for the products we specify, so a substitution can be checked against the design rather than accepted on a datasheet's word.
